GOOD VS BAD

A conceptual piece, this book used the binding style dos-à-dos, which in French means “back-to-back.” It is a binding structure that binds two separate books such that the fore-edge of one is adjacent to the spine of the other, with a shared lower board between them serving as the back cover of both. By playing off this bookbinding style, I was inspired by the Seven Days of Creation and the Fall of Man, starting from the temptation of the serpent to the death of Abel. Inspired by the Low Poly Art style, I wanted to convey that God combined all the pieces in order to create an image, but at the same time, because of the Fall, God’s image that He built broke apart into pieces.
